︎Jennifer Vanilla
  First muse
  b. 2015

Jennifer Vanilla is a multidimensional social performance persona that I have inhabited as a character as well as a musical, artistic, and curatorial moniker since 2015. This persona was the primary vessel for my art making since its inception until 2022, and through it I have performed a few hundred live shows, toured the US and played 1 show each in Mexico and Italy, produced a community variety show series (JVL@b), a public access television show (The Jennifer Vanilla Hour) and self-promotional commercials, released two collaboratively composed albums on Brooklyn-based record labels with Brian Abelson, shot many music videos, booked and hosted live music shows, crowd surfed at MoMA PS1, choreographed dance ensembles, DJed dance clubs and radio shows, made a line of T-shirts, been an A.I.R. of Times Square, appeared on CBS News as an eyewitness of a runaway dog, and cultivated myself-as-Jennifer into a public figure with the intention of corralling temporary publics into a momentary bonded mass.
